Swift Response: National Highway Authority Mulls Helicopter Rescue for Highway Victims

The National Highway Authority (NHA) considered introducing a helicopter service for the rescue of accident victims on motorways. Pakistani federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan directed NHA to take necessary steps to reduce accident rates on motorways. Additionally, he directed NHA to arrange the best rescue service to tackle accidents there.

There are many people who lost their lives for being victims of accidents due to insufficient rescue measures. Although there is a good rescue service in Pakistan, it is very important to reach on the spot ASAP. Hence, the government of Pakistan is taking effective steps to secure their citizens’ lives. Along with the existing 1122, a helicopter service is under discussion to provide quick assistance to save lives. 

Important Directions by Abdul Aleem Khan

Abdul Aleem Khan also directed that motorways and highways should be safe for travellers. Hence , there must be long and short term strategies to work for safety on motorways and highways. Additionally, he directed NHA to come up with a 5 year action plan for road constructions and there must be transparency in the usage of funds in accordance with judiciousness. He also emphasised to prepare National transport Policy to decide every action as per the merit.  Tool tax collection methods need upgrading to develop a sense of transparency and fair dealing.

The minister in charge of roads and highways, Abdul Aleem Khan, said that the NHA should do everything they can to prevent accidents and help people who get hurt. He said that helicopters could get to people faster than ambulances, especially in places where it is difficult to drive.

The minister in charge of highways and roads has directed NHA to take effective measures and design strategies to prevent road accidents. He suggested making every possible effort to overcome road accidents for the security of citizens. He directed various upcoming steps to improve road safety and life security. Additionally, he emphasized that NHA should find new ways to collect money from people who use the highways. It is possible that there might be a digital transaction system or automatic service for this purpose. 

After increasing toll taxes on motorways and highways, the National Highway Authority (NHA) is moving toward another step. It is about providing rapid relief on motorways. NHA is considering using helicopter service to help people who become victims of accidents on highways and motorways. The government wants to make sure that people get assisted quickly and safely.
